In 2019 I became a winner of
the fifth International Festival of Book Illustration "Mors".
The winner of the festival has the honour of creating festival visual identity the following year. So in 2020 I designed a number of characters which were added to advertisements, posters, emails and I also made a cover of the annual catalog.
the fifth International Festival of Book Illustration "Mors".
The winner of the festival has the honour of creating festival visual identity the following year. So in 2020 I designed a number of characters which were added to advertisements, posters, emails and I also made a cover of the annual catalog.
The main idea which I wanted to develop in this visual project was that reading formed a core leisure element in everyday’s life. Books are enjoyed by every living creature, animals, humans and even aliens.
While working on the cover, I tried to take into account 2020 tendency of self isolation and lockdown. The characters were portrayed sitting and reading in their cozy apartments united in one big house which was a book itself.
Micro stories from the catalog cover
Poster for an "open call" in social networks
Fiction/Non fiction characters
Read lovers for festival activities (market, master-classes, announcements in social networks, merch and etc)
