Otherwise known as a Red Mangrove, this plant stands out to me because of its salt-tolerance and endurance. I remember going outside after one of Miami’s many hurricanes and while everything seemed to be uprooted and dying the mangroves thrived. This tenacity has always inspired me and I wanted to create a pattern in homage.
