LED Planter
For this brief, we had to design and create a LED Herb planter for 3 or more different herbs using white ABS plastic to create it.
Research:
Ideation:
Through making these sketches, i can get a vision on how the planter might look and also integrate my technical board and inspiration board to my design and vision for my Planter.
Development:
Making this developmental model, it helped me see what will work and what wont work and also where i need to focus to make this model in ABS.
Manufacture:
Because we were using an ABS thickness of 1.5mm i was focusing a lot of my time making sure the edges were sanded down to create a seamless corner and then using Methane Chloride to 'Glue' the ABS together.
Outcome:
This planter project was a lot of fun to design and make. There were a few hiccups that came my way while making this planter, but I tried my best to make the most of it. I learned a few new techniques while making the planter that I can definitely integrate into future designs.
