Overview

Sturm Media is seeking a dynamic and creative Content Creator & Editor to join our team following the release of our first product. This remote position is ideal for someone with a strong background in branding and writing, alongside proficient editing skills. You will be instrumental in crafting (writing & editing) engaging content for TikTok and Instagram Reels, focusing on marketing and technology.

Responsibilities

• Scriptwriting: Develop and write compelling scripts for TikTok and Instagram Reels that resonate with our audience, under the guidance of our founder, Edward Sturm. Edward will be reading your scripts on camera. Please see our TikTok (@build_in_public) or Instagram Reels (@edward.builds) for our brand voice.
• Video Editing: Edit video recordings and podcasts of Edward using Descript (training provided if necessary). A keen sense of rhythm in editing and a good sense of humor are crucial.
• Social Media Management: Post and manage the content on our social media platforms, ensuring each video is optimized before release.
• Additional Content Creation: Write and post 400-word bottom-of-funnel SEO landing pages based on guidance from Edward Sturm. Occasionally create content for TwitterX posts and threads.

Requirements

• Experience in Branding and Writing: Strong ability to create narratives that engage and inform, with a deep understanding of branding.
• Editing Skills: Competence in video editing with a good grasp of timing and visual storytelling. Prior experience with Descript is a plus but not required.
• Social Media Savvy: Knowledge of current trends on platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
• SEO and Digital Marketing: Understanding of SEO principles and digital marketing strategies would be beneficial.
• Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and in a remote setting.
