Cyprus Folk Art Museum - Branding and Advertising

Cyprus Folk Art Museum
Branding & Advertising Campaign
Cyprus Folk Art Museum (CFAM) is a non-profit cultural organisation created to promote country's ethnographic history. Collections - over 5000 items - include examples of Cypriot folk art from the 19th and 20th centuries, including woodcarvings, embroidery, pottery, and national costumes.
The main objectives of a new corporate identity were to to promote folk art and the museum with an emphasis on engagement youth minds. Hence, a renowated Cyprus Folk Art Museum has a loud contemporary character still posessing a traditional spirit.
Human mark inspired by traditional Cypriot embroidery was appointed as a new logo of CFAM. It successfully articulates the museum character - folk art. Along with a logo an institution slogan “A for Art” was created. It messages two ideas: fok-made crafts constitute art (though often underestimated); all the arts started with folk art.
The museum hosts a shop with traditional handicrafts and small gifts inspired by tradition. Reusable totes, paper bags and wrapping paper make up a brand packaging. Museum postcards and a Folk Corkscrew become CFAM souvenirs.
A series of advertising posters was created where each messages a particular reason to explore folk art and visit Cyprus Folk Art Museum.
