Bonus: When these images popped into my head, they were in a fairly simple style very close to the final outcome you see above. However in my first attempt, as often happens, I veered closer and closer to realism. I'm glad I chose to redraw it and achieved the look I wanted for the full set. But I do still like the original picture and wanted to share that as well!
