145 Eats Title Card Animation
For 145 East
Context
145 East is a Design and Apparel Agency based in Kolkata, India. They're known as mavericks who shift from one form of content to another. They had made the jump to make a series where the agency interviewed local food places in the city. I was assigned the responsibility to make the title card that would be used in future iterations/episodes.
Creative Direction
The original idea was to use different visual keys that represent food/dining/restaurants. We had tried the idea of using iconography popping in from right and exiting on left.
However we decided that this direction is not in line with what we had in mind, and does not match the tonality of the show. We had thus tried to use something a little more tangible and representative of the real world. It is then when I had the idea of using neon signs, as signs are a great real world visual key for restaurants.
Neon Signs
Each Neon Sign was custom made and and designed to imitate a variety of signs that we see in restaurants.
