Melton Mowbray Place Branding:
For my final university project, I had the opportunity to create my own brief. I have decided to create a place branding project for a place I've spent a lot of my time in - Melton Mowbray. Melton Mowbray has a lot to offer, but it doesn't attract a youthful audience, which is why I've designed with ages 15-25 in mind. To make my place branding project memorable and long term, I have based it around the annual and national PieFest festival held in Melton Mowbray each year; this also celebrates what Melton Mowbray is most famous for also - the pork pies. The new identity for the festival and place branding go hand-in-hand to create a new, strong identity for the town, encouraging a new audience.
