Daily UI :: 03 Landing Page Redesign

My Design Goal: Read below for more.

So when I decided to start with UI UX designing Products and I wanted to Pursue my Passion which was Business of Design, I started out with some simple UI redesigns based on UX and Daily UI. I wanted to work on a Website Design and an App Design as well.

So i was focussing on Daily UI. But when i started with Landing page today I came across Learn Code Online 's Hitesh sir's stock photo on Pixabay. So starting out with it I thought of redesigning LCO's website Landing page itself.

Let me show you the End result first:

End Result of Redesign
Old Design
What is Learn Code Online ?
Learn Code Online is place to learn the latest programming courses with high quality videos. So I had previously done courses at LCO. So basically I think you would have understood what LCO is.

Why Redesign ?
The functionality and services wise I see LCO as the best and interactive Course providers across the Globe. But whenever I reach on the Home page of LCO I feel things are clumsy. The learner wouldn't be able to figure out what he should do next, there is no prime focus on it. The USP is not fully delivered to the sight of the learner.

Apart from that I also feel that there should be certain changes in the Navigation bar which would bring better clarity of use.

Along with that as LCO is an educational startup the website should focus on acquiring learners and convert them into paying learner. So I see that CTA (call to action) should be given more importance and placing them in the reachable and proximity.

How I picked on the Hero Image and Colors/Theme ?
Computer science learners are one of the busiest and with a lot of work on their heads. I wanted the website's theme to clear their head and make them ready for the learning.

If you ask me about the Hero Image I came across Learn Code Online 's Hitesh sir's stock photo on Pixabay. So I thought of using it for redesigning LCO's website Landing page itself.

Redesign in Navigation Bar ?
Earlier the Website had :
Home Online Courses Apps Merch Summer Training Live Bootcamps Blog Login

Having used the services and Courses of LCO I saw some things could be better depicted with some other name.

So I came up with:
Course, Training , Merch, Blog and SignUp

1. I saw that home is not the place a lot of learners would opt to reach again and again. Even if they require they could always go click on the logo and go onto there. So I decided to remove Home from Navigation bar.

2. Further I made Online Courses to Courses

3. Then I found that Summer Training and Live Bootcamps could be clubbed into one Trainings so that it sounds active and Live and had both Summer Trainings and Live Bootcamps under it (potentially a drop down)

4. Further, changed Login to SignUp as the CTA being SignUp made more sense for me.

Emphasis on CTA's ?
The CTA's did not look Active and taking the attention of the Learner when he first visits the website. So I tried bringing in some space and emphasis on it. Mainly the Visit Courses should take the attention of the Learner.

Showcasing APP presence ?
Along with it, I also wanted to show the Learners that our App is also present. So I wanted to have it above the fold which could help the Learners who prefer to watch the Lectures on smart phone to immediately know about LCO App.

Getting to numbers  & Stats ?
Along with it, I also wanted to show the credibility and Trust that our Learners had on LCO and its courses. So I added on the key highlights of the App, Courses etc.

Conclusion ?
So I want to conclude this little Case study of Redesign of Landing page of an Education StartUp.

I hope you have enjoyed it.

Thanks for Reading along till the End 😃
