Project: Conceptualizing Digital Tools for Entrepreneurship
Barcelona Activa is the local development agency of the Barcelona City Council. Its mission is to accompany the transformation of Barcelona in terms of entrepreneurship, business growth, innovation, human capital and quality of employment.
My team and I collaborate in the digitalization of services for entrepreneurs to personalize the creation of learning itineraries and categorize more accurately the level of maturity of entrepreneurial initiatives.In that sense, we created two virtual tools that will guarantee the accessibility of all users in the metropolitan area of Barcelona and include gamification dynamics to achieve a greater commitment to self-improvement.
The conceptualization of the first tool, which we see above, aims to make use of the information provided by users to adapt their learning itineraries and mentoring sessions in order to increase the empowerment of entrepreneurs at the formative level.
The second tool is aimed at self-knowledge of personal entrepreneurial skills. It starts with a playful test consisting of questions with a touch of humour and a few very visual answers.
Thus, for this project we have created a new conceptual framework with the support of psychologists, sociologists and economists that defines 16 entrepreneurial skills categorized into 3 families (personal, social and executive). In excess, all virtues can be twisted, so aware that each of us may have those skills in shortage or excess, the proposed test not only evaluates them but also offers challenges and activities that help us acquire or regulate them. In addition, for those recommendations we also take into account the role of the person in his future start-up and the level of maturity of the idea.
Today Barcelona Activa develops its activity applying a mixed model that combines digital content with training activities and learning itineraries, access to mentoring and specialized spaces with ICT facilities.
