The CASE Project is Merging Arts and Science in Primary

One of the pioneers of arts-based learning and the founder of arts-based innovation consulting company Seifter Associates, Harvey Seifter has received numerous awards for his work with arts organizations. Harvey Seifter also leads New York, NY-based The Art of Science Learning, an initiative to promote the use of the arts in science learning.

The Creativity in Arts and Science Education (CASE) Project is another such program in Europe that fosters the arts as an avenue to develop creativity in approaches to science education. One of the main goals of the project is to design and develop training materials for educators such as manuals, guidelines, and learning scenarios and make these available through the project’s web platform.

Additionally, CASE works to help in the adoption of widespread training of primary teachers in arts-based science education and practices. Through mobilization activities, the group hopes to deliver new techniques and approaches for teachers to implement CASE-inspired initiatives.

Project CASE will also work to validate the results of the initiatives through systematic studies and results-based evaluation.
