Two years ago I realized that while Spotify is an endless pit to discover new music, I kept replaying the same albums over and over again. There's nothing wrong with that, I love By the Way or My Aim is True to the end of the world, but I realized while doing that I was quite stuck on the same stuff and couldn't discover anything new. Even though I did, the songs got lost in my library qutie fast.
So I started making monthly playlists.
Whenever I heard a new song that I liked, I put it here. Or the songs that I already knew, but kept playing over and over again on that month. Yeap, goes to that month's playlist.
In short time the playlists became the soundtrack of my month, and whenever I went back and listened one of those, I found myself reliving the moments when I first came across that song, or just a glimpse of a feeling I had when I was having wandering around, listening music.
When I looked back at the end of 2019, I realized I stored the memories of my last two years into these playlists, and wanted to encapture them with some illustrations. So I started drawing these covers.
