In the summer of 2007, I visited Mongolia, where my older sister Sarah has lived off and on for many years now. It was my first time travelling outside the continental US and Canada, and the more time passes, the more I feel the influence of this trip. It was travel experienced through the fog of severe depression in my life back home, but through which I found the seed of something that has led me to a life far better.
