Sundance Film Festival Assignment

This Typographic identity assignment was one of my favorite assignments in my Typography 2 class. We had to design a series of artifacts for the 2020 Sundance Film Festival ranging in size and purpose. I wanted to to think about the effect scale, color, and cohesiveness has in typography. I based the identity off of a film called breathe that was shown in the Sundance Film Festival. I used earthy colors to help give a sense of peace and serenity which is how i feel when i think of the word breathe. I also tried to use the image to create a sense of motion throughout the poster.
I chose to have a set of 3 different tickets. For the tickets I wanted to keep them simple with no imagery, I wanted to focus on the typography and use of color to help create my identity. This project really made me think more about identity and how important it is when you are creating multiple objects for one event.
