Better 4 You Meals (B4YM) has also expanded its health-conscious based nutritional services to include supplying congregate and home-delivered meals for older adults through its Senior Nutrition Program.
In July 2019, B4YM began preparing such meals for California’s Norwalk Senior Center overseen by the City of Norwalk, which operates two senior dining centers and provides lunch to approximately 200 people daily. The Norwalk Senior Center is among the region’s most well attended, attracting local seniors and those living outside the city. Among the major draws is its congregate meal program, which serves meals to older adults in a group setting.
Congregate meals provide seniors with food that adheres to nutritional standards and supports well-balanced diets that combat malnutrition, a frequent issue for older people.
