Personal project. The model of this ship was made a long time ago, I planned to make an animation or an short animated film, but due to lack of time and loss of interest, I abandoned this project and it was stored on the hard drive for several years. Now I decided to render this. I used 3ds Max, V-ray NEXT and Phoenix FD for ocean simulation. Render took 2 hours per 4k frame. I didn't render any complex 3d channels. Just ZDepth for aerial perspective. About the ship model. I modeled it for a very long time. About 2,5 years. Yes, yes for so long. But sometimes I devoted 15 minutes a month to this, sometimes a whole week. Most of the work was spent searching for information on sailing ships of that era, sail mechanics, rigging, etc. Thanks for watching, like, comment ;)
