ASKANYI is a unique ensemble combining a string quartet and singers of African origin. Together they mix classical music with African polyphonic vocals to give birth to a new kind of music which echoes today’s multicultural environment.
The mission
Working on their second album in 2018-2019, they asked for a redesign of their visual identity. Something more classical & more neutral than they had before.
Logo redesign
Their debut album was very much founded on reinterpretation of african songs, the new repertoire would be much more headed towards occidental culture. That's why they asked for a more classical and elegant logotype. This one is based on the beautiful Chronos Serif font by Pangrampangram Foundry, with just a discreet tweak on some characters.
Website make-over
One of the main elements asked for the website redesign was to have a sidebar, in order to present content that would be present on all pages. The content structure also was changed, and some back-end tweaks took place.
