SEARHC Long-Term Care Facilities Receive Three Gold

Charles Clement holds the titles of CEO and President of the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality health care to communities in Southeast Alaska. Among his responsibilities in the role, Charles Clement works with other executives within the organization to oversee the activities of more than 1,000 employees.

SEARHC recently announced that two of its long-term care facilities, the Wrangell Medical Center Long-Term Care and Sitka Long-Term Care, have received Gold Pan awards from Mountain-Pacific Quality Health (MPQH) at the Alaska State Hospital and Nursing Home Association conference. The Wrangell Medical Center Long-Term Care achieved the Most Improved Award, for the second consecutive year, as well as the Quality Excellence Award. Sitka Long-Term Care attained the Quality Achievement Award.

In part, SEARHC leadership credited the staff at the Wrangell Medical Center for taking home the Most Improved Award for the second time in two years. The Center was also able to successfully decreased its overall MPQH composite score. The decrease was the most significant of any of the long-term care facilities considered for the award.
