Following a disappointing 2-5 start to the 2019 regular season, the Broncos dealt veteran wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders along with a fifth-round draft pick to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a third- and a fourth-round draft pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Through seven games with Denver this season, Sanders scored two touchdowns and had 30 receptions for 367 receiving yards.

A 32-year-old native of Bellville, Texas, Sanders was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft and spent four seasons with the team before joining the Broncos in 2014. He earned his first of two Pro Bowl selections that season and finished with a career-best 101 receptions. Through 78 regular season games with Denver, Sanders tallied 5,361 receiving yards on 404 receptions and caught 28 touchdown passes.
