In the Atmosphere
(Motion Tokyo Contest Entry)
September 2019
This project was created as an entry into the 2019 Motion Tokyo contest. The goal for the contest was to develop a 15-second animation. A mask was provided to account for the unique shape of the screen on which the finalist animations would project, hence the black shape that appears in the images and video here. The final piece I developed was an opportunity to explore mixing 3D and 2D elements and building a fantastical world in such a short space of time.

Programs used:
 -  Blender for 3D dragon and tree models
 -  After Effects for compositing and 2D animation of the blob
Initial Sketch with video bounds (black shape)
Initial color scheme TEST
