An Expression of a Site Visit to the Vagelos Education Center (DS+R). What began with excitement and anticipation to see the building quickly turned to disappointment when arriving to its front steps. Exposed pedestals on pavers, missing ceiling and side panels exposing duct and electrical work, and simplified structural solutions for what was originally an intent to showcase architectural expression are just some of the jarring details that affect the experience of the building.
