This is a series of studies based on fire, air and water. I also did Earth, but I'm not so sure it works for me. I had a LOT of fun doing these on ,my iPad. I used a stock photo of an old piece of wood to lend the texture. Using many different kinds of Layer Modes allowed me to get the wood texture to show through.

I did the original sketches on small pads of paper, then I photographed them using my iPad and imported them into Procreate.

Happily, Procreate lets users record every stroke they make on the screen. This is a progress video for the Water Elemental.
