Gary Reis has an extensive history of founding successful businesses that serve the community on Rhode Island. Gary Reis owns and operates companies such as Med Tech Ambulance Service, Triton Fleet Services, and Access Ambulance Service (AAS), the latter being his most recent company, founded in 2007.

AAS has several successful contracts with hospitals throughout Rhode Island, providing them with four types of services:

1. Basic life support - AAS transports patients in ambulances with trained staff. The patients who need this service are typically stable, needing no advanced support measures. Basic life support is for those who require oxygen, are unable to walk or bear weight, are in a post-surgical situation, have fractures of limbs, etc.

2. Advanced life support – Some patients need assistance from advanced life support personnel. AAS ambulances have stretcher to transport these patients, who are usually intubated and need ventilator support, ECG monitoring, and more.

3. Wheelchair transport – The company also offers transportation for people in need of wheelchair assist. Patients are secured in vans specially equipped with lifts to raise them safely in. They remain seated in wheelchairs, and are secured inside for safe transportation to their destination.

4. Specialized support - This service is for patients who need specialized ambulances or wheelchair vans with certain specifications, such as female technicians, bilingual speaking EMT’s, bariatric and ventilator transportation, and more.
