Sometime last  year, I attended a Workshop at Canon CNA on Low Light Photography. Our Instructor, Fred Ochieng' gave us so many tidbits on achieving the best results even when using a basic DSLR. All was going well until at the end of the workshop when we were tasked with taking night shots at a nightclub, Alchemist (Nairobi). We were to shoot without the use of a speed lite! Quite daunting at first. However, with the little light one was forced to wait out your shot just at the right moment when the lights struck. With a bit of patience, pushing and shovling on the dance floor I managed the intimate shots I was going for using the Canon EOS 7D coupled with the 50mm Prime lens.
