Breadfruit Media Logo Redesign

Task: Redesign of a logo for a boutique podcast production company catering primarily to clients of Caribbean decent.

Tools:  Pencil sketching, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

Process: It was important during this redesign that the client and I were on the same page for the direction of the branding moving forward. They were heavy on catering to specifically the Caribbean demographic at first and my first goal was to dissect that and figure out the passion behind it. In doing so, we decided that the new branding & direction of the business shouldn't alienate other demographics. There is significant opportunity in providing services to the whole podcast market, not just the Caribbean one.

The old logo featured simple shapes and simple typography with a color contrast. My initial approach was to change the initial visual of the logo without much breakaway. The final design featured a change to Poppins for the font. For the logo mark I felt that the yellow green color scheme was bland. I switched the solid green for multi colored waves. This gives the mark flexibility.

The final choice was made with the general direction of the agency in mind. The vision of breadfruit hasn't changed but the change from green to multi-colored symbolizes the new option to cater to every demographic, not just the Caribbean.
