50 years ago today marked a pivotal moment in human history. For thousands of years we had looked up at the night sky and wondered what was out there. 66 years earlier we had first broken the bonds of of the Earth to take flight, and now we had broken free of our home itself. At 8 PM PDT on July 20, 1969, we had taken another small step into the greater universe.

This is a short tribute I made for the 50th anniversary of that giant leap. The audio is a remixed version of an excerpt from John F. Kennedy's Speech on the Future of Spaceflight at Rice University, September 12 1962. The song is 'Flickering' by VYEN.
