Week 3 - Timelapse & Hyperlapse
A technique where photographs are taken at intervals and then stitch up together during post-processing.
We started by trying a standard shot of time-lapse we often see. Where it’s overlooking the city with the sky changing. The end result was nice but we thought that there weren’t much activities other than the clouds and the vehicles passing by. Plus, you can barely see the movement of the vehicles because of how small they look.
So we tried again in a more “artistic” approach. And by artistic we meant by doing up different angles to capture the moment. We liked how the vehicles are bustling around, getting in and out of the carpark. And they are more prominent in this shot, so the eyes immediately goes to them. We also added some motion blur to the vehicles to make it look as if they are moving smoothly and not move sharply.
