His Hands Church's profile

CFVC Annual Report Documents Progress

His Hands Church, a nondenominational Christian organization in Woodstock, Georgia, was established in 2005. The church strives to make a difference by providing numerous services to its flock and to the community at large. As part of this effort, His Hands Church donates 10 percent of its funds to nonprofits such as the Cherokee Family Violence Center (CFVC).

The CFVC strives to usher in a world where people no longer have to worry about becoming a victim of intimate partner violence. As part of its mission, it provides support services to people impacted by such violence. These services include access to emergency shelters, a crisis hotline, legal aid, and support groups.

Recently, the CFVC released its 2018 Annual Report. The report shows that the organization raised more than $2 million, and for every $100 it raised, $94 went to funding its vital intimate partner violence programs. The report further relates that the nonprofit assisted nearly 1,550 people and housed nearly 250 women and youth.

The CFVC hopes to expand its efforts in 2019, according to the report. For example, the organization plans to advocate for the creation of a court focused solely on domestic violence in Cherokee County, Georgia.
