SS20 Eveningwear // Detached Devotion
Detached Devotion is a Spring/Summer 2020 collection from FALSEFORTE. Depictions of void and sensuality are the principle behind the collection. The cuts, shapes, and fabrics expose the female figure tactically, allowing freedom for movement while defining the alluring curves of the body.
Creative process
Detached Devotion's essence is the juxtaposition of nature (wild mushrooms—pleated & delicate textiles) and infrastructure (constricted accessories).
The female torso is alluring and sensuous. I am inspired to create a collection that celebrates this sophisticated aspect of a modern woman through enduring designs that are bold, yet sensual. The customer profile is developed around a skilled tradeswoman that possesses an open-minded and positive attitude towards her life.
Apart from the professional life, she is also a firm believer in keeping one's body, mind, and space as strong, beautiful, and clean as possible. Although being a loving and out-going person, she is an introvert when it comes to her private life—this makes her a mysterious and charming woman.

The Sketches
Detached Devotion harnesses multiple themes which coalesces into my vision of beauty. The sensuality of women figure is celebrated by incorporating the girdle forms of the Victorian era and the flowing shapes of the modern age.

The Collection
The textile represents the relationship between nature (represented by mushroom) and infrastructures. The model wears oversized mushroom-inspired garments (pleats) with panels of black wool silk with top-stitching detail. The black backdrop is covered with white top-stitching that resembles the lights of skyscrapers at night.
Ultimately, Detached Devotion celebrates the beauty of women through elements associated with nature, and in particular, mushrooms, within the forest that contains natural beauty
