GitHub Brand Campaign 2018

GitHub Branding 2018
GitHub is an open source community home to over 31 Million developers. A community where developers come together to share, collaborate and build software.
Our high-level goal was to increase GitHub's brand awareness and deepen the positive experience fans have with our brand through an integrated campaign, resolving at GitHub’s tentpole event, Universe.
GitHub Brand Campaign
Our challenge was “How do you increase brand awareness amongst a global community this vast, diverse and impactful?”
Our idea was “Tech isn’t bad, it’s just how it’s directed.”
Our solution was to highlight and celebrate ahead of and at Universe 2018 what’s possible when developers from all around the world come together on GitHub to create, share, and iterate on something bigger than themselves.

Back in 2014, Tiffani Ashley Bell read about Detroit shutting off the water supply for thousands of residents who were behind on their bills. Inspired to do something, she found access to the delinquent accounts—and wondered if she could help pay them off. Along with her co-founder, Tiffani built a website using GitHub to connect donors with those in need. Since then, The Human Utility has helped nearly 1,000 families and is one of the few non-profits backed by Y Combinator. Tiffani Ashley Bell, building the future of human rights.

Building the Future Exhibit
These videos culminated both online and at an on-site exhibit under the campaign moniker "Building the Future." Attendees visiting the exhibition could learn more about each developer featured, and hopefully, leave a little more inspired.
