CRAY/ON
the beauty of being broken
In the manufacturing process, defected crayons are not thrown away, but simply remelted and recast into a new one. Inspired by this beautiful process as well as the endless possibilities of colours crayons came in, cray/on was born.
cray/on is not meant to be used, but to be appreciated and admired, just like how one would towards a picturesque scenery.
We often find broken products a pity and cast them aside without hesitation.
But there is beauty in being broken - if one sees beyond the surface and understands its inherent nature.
