It was a good challenge to portray this scene without any sort of characters that visually represented the elements and the story. After an infinite amount of brainstorming, this concept popped into my head, where I could incorporate the emotion as well as get the message across.
The timing for each bar was very important. As can be seen in the video, the 'money' bar moved very slowly until the age number reached 20. In my humble opinion, that's about the age when an average person starts making money in their life.
Not only did I have to play with the timing of each key frames, but also fiddle with the value graph to get the exact result that I wanted.

I wanted to give it a soothing look, but maintain a colorful appearance. I went through a lot of different color palettes on color.adobe.com, but ended up using my own brew.
