A short film project exploring the parallels between the experiences of a mother immigrating from China to a western country, and a son returning to China. Created for the German Film Society competition at Fudan University. The title represents the contradiction faced by someone whose identity is pulled in multiple directions — familial, cultural, environmental, biological, geographical.
