La Lucha mocked up on a magazine cover
LA LUCHA
Influenced by the characteristics of lucha libre and its impact on culture, this project was intended to replicate the feel and design of a magazine cover depicting a luchador. The project also entailed the use of recreating a flat character in a more realistic dimensional form. I used the character Snap from the kids television show ChalkZone as his character design to recreate his simplistic fighter qualities. Utilizing the chance to incorporate life drawing into my design and the inspiration of vivid colors from lucha libre plays off the graphic design element of the magazine.
