Process
It was important that the design be intriguing and strange without being too scary. Below you can see how the front design went from rough (left), to creepy (center), to the finished product (right).
The back was trickier to design due to the volume of information it needed to convey. I started by running with the playing card concept, but it came out looking more Casino Royale (left). I swapped the third card for the White Rabbit's watch as a way of bringing some of the classic Alice iconography into the design, while further exploring the space relationships between elements (right).
Later revisions had me finalizing a color scheme that unified both sides of the shirt with the show, and making sure all information was included and correct.
Shirt modeled by my friend Jeremiah Bryan in Downtown Raleigh.
The shirt was designed in Adobe Photoshop and finalized on Illustrator.
