Virtual Reality Project

Virtual Reality experience based on my dreams for one of my Masters degree modules. Worked with 3D modelling softwares Blender and Google SketchUp, Unity engine and C# scripting and with Oculus Rift VR integration. I used a combination of both hand drawn textures and photorealistic textures. I wanted the experience to look stylised and odd. The experience was interactive; I used a technique called "raycasting" which sent out a ray wherever the user was looking with the headset on. When this ray collided with  certain objects they would start scaling up (to show that they were interactive objects) and then once they had reached the maximum activation level they would return to their normal scales and play a sound that correlated with what the object was. I had 4 scenes in total and to simulate the structure of a dream I had them on a 30 second timer using C# scripting. Once the timer reached 30 seconds it would automatically change scenes, which I think captures dream structures perfectly as you often end up in random different places with no control over where you're going.
