This site represents a vast repository of a sci-fi French collection I used to read, back in the days.
The book covers, which were borrowed from great scifi artists, always fascinate me and were a great source of inspiration.
As I painted the woman's face from no reference, it got quickly a beautiful Asian look. I struggled to find a context
about the location and the occupation of the character. It was more question of creating any kind of warrior, but I wasn't
sure about the setting - a cave, a garden?
The major struggle I had, regarding this piece, was procrastination. It started so long ago (two years) and I could never decide
how to finish it. Along the way, I practised some techniques that I learned from here and there, but at some point, there must be
an essential cut-off. Sometimes, it is better to give way to quantity than perfectionism, hence to give way to practice with
many different pieces. This one is not perfect, unfinished, but procrastination is what weigh you down, more than often.
