Living and Dying in Queenstown — A Publication

Living and Dying in Queenstown, A Publication.
Written and designed by Elizabeth Wong, this publication was made to promote the unsung heroes of Singapore’s dying trades. These uncelebrated few who helped build the foundation of our economy have shown so much perseverance and fighting spirit in them despite their mundane lifestyles, defying the odds in our extremely competitive market to hold on tight to their crafts and it was something worth recording in history.
Collaterals of this publication consists of 2 A5 Picture Postcards and a set of stickers.
Designed in a photo journal style to capture the raw and candid day to day, mundane yet important, lives of these tradesmen, aiming to evoke feelings of urgency in readers to visit Queenstown and these tradesmen before they are gone through the candid interviews
Making use of frequently seen local items like fruit stickers and 4D sheets as dividers and tip ins, it makes the reading experience closer to the heart, interactive and interesting.
2019, Studio Project 1.
