Sunnyside Mall brand refresh

Sunnyside mall previously lacked a strong and recognizable visual identity compared to its competitors Halifax Shopping Centre and Mic Mac Mall.

Get a glow inside refers to the unique products, shops, services, and environment to be found at Bedford's iconic Sunnyside Mall. I translated this point of differentiation into a quirky re-interpretation of the mall's logo, using seasonal product as various letterforms.

Completed at MT&L / NATIONAL Public Relations.

Creative roles: Copywriting, graphic design, responsive front-end webdesign, photography, "3D typography" and lettering;

Production tasks: Multi-format deployment of creative across on-site and offsite billboards and in-mall signage.
The "glow" was refreshed seasonally to suit trends throughout the year -- Fall 2012, for example, was the time to get a spicy glow inside which we communicated through a strong red-orange colour story. Full-colour advertorial  ads lend an air of the elevated, "curated" shopping experience found at Sunnyside.
The new, responsive sunnysidemall.ca was built on Wordpress to allow easy updating for the client as the mall changes with the seasons. Events, Twitter, and Facebook are pulled live from their different feeds so that there is dynamic content on every page of the site. View responsive samples here.
