"Zrób sobie protest" (DIY Protest) is a book about how to protest safely, effectively and in accordance with the law. It is an effect of personal frustration and sadness that came with the last political changes in my home country – Poland. Both design and the text are of my authorship.
The key to the whole project is attainability – both in terms of the language I use in the publication as well as in the design. Therefore, I strived for maximum readability of the text (hence the bigger letters and a lot of light in the paragraphs) and harmonious proportions of spreads and columns.
Despite it being my first idea, I shied away from the typical, rough aesthetics that we associate with protest – I decided I want the publication to be simple, almost cold and sciencey-like, so that its message is not overshadowed by the form.
