This was originally a black and white piece done with brush/ink on illustration board many years ago. I took a photo and used as a background layer in SketchBook Pro and then re-traced most of the inkwork and added some shading and color.

Added a tan layer and a little shading touch up as well as erasing parts of the tan layer
Final step was to add a little color
