ICPT ICE CREAM

Ice Cream Party Time

Well, that's only a guess. No one really knows why Grandpa called his ice cream, ICPT. But then again, it tasted so good, no one really cared.
When designing the logo identity, I wanted the overall brand to evoke the same feeling and aesthetic of the 90's pop culture I grew up in. I was heavily influenced by the bright neon colors and wild graphic art and illustration that was common in packaging for the younger generation.
The graphic art for ICPT was influenced by some of my favorite artists like Robert Crumb (Fritz the Cat), Art Spiegelman (Garbage Pail Kids), and of course, Lyn Severance (Ben & Jerry's).

Gritty halftones in bright, fluorescent colors are used throughout the packaging design. Characters both regular and seasonal were created for each flavor combination, each with their own silly face and name.
Nutrition labels placed on the bottom with a "suggested" serving size.
The safety labels are designed in a pattern of words you can break.
Who doesn't love chocolate-covered shortbread and strawberries?!
Thanks for checking out my work!
