BioBox is a product solution to the worlds increasing pollution and waste creation around the world. Using a durable plant-based plastic, BioBox replaces the need for disposable containers, utensils, and packaging in fast food restaurants everywhere. With millions of Americans using these disposable products daily, the waste contribution from fast food restaurants has become an undeniable issue for the health of our planet and ecosystem. Until today.
This BioBox container eliminates the need for disposable options at fast food chains and creates and much more organized and easy experience for customers. Complete with separate compartments for your meal, sides and condiments, utensil holders, and an attachable reusable bottle for drinks, this container has all your needs covered. The BioBox also has the ability to unfold it sides and expand into an easier format tray for convenience and comfort. Then after you're finished eating simply clip the sides back together and the rubber seals will keep the mess contained until it reaches the dishwasher.

What inspired the BioBox?

BioBox began as a investigation into the ignorance and neglect of the trash crisis in urban areas, specifically in New York City and New Jersey. Realizing there was a lot of confusion around how to dispose of certain wastes, as well as how to reduce waste in general, I began researching how common citizens viewed the trash crisis. I asked a few participants questions on their feelings about topics related to trash. I also developed a quick poster demonstrating the misunderstanding of items that belong in either recycling bins or trash bins.

I then began developing the first two physical prototypes before moving into designing the product and rendering out 3D images. The physical prototypes were a bit rough but important in investigating how the product would function in a real scenario
