Gul Moonis, MD, is a diagnostic radiologist, associate professor of radiology, and a researcher. In addition to her board certification in radiology, she has training and significant experience working as a neuroradiologist, a subspecialty of radiology. A large part of her clinical research within neuroradiology focuses on the head and neck, particularly the temporal bone. Dr. Gul Moonis has authored book chapters and articles in journals including the American Journal of Neurology (AJNR). Her contribution, as a lead author, to the AJNR was titled “Imaging Findings in Auto-Atticotomy.”

The AJNR is a monthly publication that features 200 pages of peer-reviewed articles, original research, and clinical reports in each issue. Its contents explore a range of topics pertaining to imaging of the head and neck as well as the spine and brain for diagnosing a range of conditions and injuries. Articles cover the varied techniques of functional and diagnostic neuroradiological imaging as well as discussions on the latest developments in imaging technology.

Last year, the AJNR received over 1300 submissions for publication from researchers and physicians. The journal is edited by an international board of experts and its website had 9.7 million unique site visits last year.
