On August 25, 2018, the fourth and last Zug der Liebe took place and 50,000 people met in Berlin to demonstrate for a better society.
Once again in 2018, the demonstration have made it the task to bring tolerance and humanity, as important values of a liberal society, more to the fore.
This moment, on Berlin streets without car traffic and a piece of freedome to dance, I wanted to capture. With Belle, Josi and Andy three good friends have I founded young peoples with many energy of fun.
The summer 2018 in Berlin was intensive with a long warm periode and enough sun. On the 25th of August was the first day with a grey sky. But the magical door comes later with an incredible hour before the typical golden hour. Along on one of the biggest streets for the east west traffic, opened the sky and the sunlight beamed happy faces to many people. Everywhere in the street on the terraces, windows and balconies people celebrated with the crowd.
A summer in Berlin, with electronic music, happy people and many many peace!
After 2 hours and some kilometers the sun say hello. We and the crowd was so fascinated about this light. A wonderful summer experience to remember...

Why these image form? The landscape photos are cropped to 16:9 panoroma, this form is a great tool to make a cinematic intensive perspective for the viewer. The portrait forms are cropped to 6x7 classic form. In the last time I have refound this presentation frame for many photos, but the biggest inspiration was some medium format film series and my own work on medium format cameras from the 80s/90s. I like the closeness to the 6x6 forms and this aspect ratio for the composition.
Why soundcloud tracks? Music is to important and so many peoples need this combination of perception. For this series it is so perfect, that I have embed 3 tracks of typical electronic dance music that transport some grooves and moods.
