Shades of Women
When mythology meets art and celebrates women..
A simple thought of sending Navratri greetings led to a thought provoking discussion which then turned into an illustrative project.
We have tried to use our imagination to interpret the different aspects of Durga associated with each day to illustrate women in modern day, which we call the Shades of Women.
As we celebrate womanhood, we not just acknowledge the forms of woman, but also take the opportunity to celebrate all those women who have dared to be brave and strong enough to retain their originality and uniqueness and stood against the norms that tend to easily influence/adulterate the world.

Purpose
Focussed and purpose oriented. With her horizons widened, she is willing to seek new meanings and perspectives. From carefree to focussed, from playful to thoughtful, her tale, her adventure begin when she sets out to accept and embrace the change called life. With hopes as high as floating clouds, her dreams as wild as her imagination, she is all here to conquer!
Power
Boasting of power like the roaring lion, she is here to build her own world, illuminate light & be a torch bearer. The journey has made her indestructible yet composed. With her dignity held high, she is in a state of bliss of having achieved her dreams!
Balance
As the storm passes and the sense is revived, she realises the destruction. She has uncovered her darkest shade that was out of control. The dark night that it was she overcomes with love and turns it into a soft embrace of the morning sun. With the new found equilibrium she transcends to tranquility.
Enlightenment
With peace, calmness & positivity comes great realisation, wisdom & energy. She is in a state of ultimate reality. She posses powers to do the unthinkable, unimaginable, she has extended her presence beyond logic into the imaginary. Her Aura is so magnetic, she is beyond the universe.
