Wanderlust
Wanderlust is my final bachelor project and it is based on research and innovation. The manual covers several tips and provisions on how to travel alone, but the peculiarity is that inside there are enclosed illustrations, notes and information that can be animated or seen only through a device that has a camera such as a smartphone. The “hidden” elements of the manual are just “elements increased “. Before the manual realization Augmented Reality research was carried out, it is a virtual reality technique through which information is added to the real-life scene. In this research, the introduction of Augmented Reality in the publishing world was analyzed and tested to avoid losing the paper book. To prove my project, I created by myself an interactive book concerning a topic of my interest which is solo travel. I developed it in a graphically attractive and technologically advanced way, experimenting for the first time the creation of augmented content on paper. I used a software called HP Reveal by which it is possible to apply content to be superimposed on images or a writings having certain points of anchoring, allowing the electrical device to be recognized by the camera, and reproducing above such points, animations, images, information and external links, giving the idea that the virtual elements were placed in the real world.
