BOOKSOFUSE
is a publication studio.
It came into existence from the urgent need of reading a couple of bodiless PDF's.
Anticipating the content of these, every booklet became an attempt to rethink the form of books, and how we read them. Design decisions were taken through a hands-on process, leaving the original prints untouched. Odd formats, experimental bookbinding and page-folding techniques got executed and put on trial.
My aim was to test the playful, inventive publications by reading them myself and handing them out to others.
BOOKSOFUSE got launched in 2018 with an accompanying exhibition and performance. During the event, I observed the visitor's ways of dealing with these unusual objects. The second edition incorporated the insights gained on the usability of the books.
Among the ever-growing list of published material there are titles of my own interest, but collaborations with other artists, and even performance-bootlegs as well.
