Evo-Mx
Before I explain my role in this project, I would just like to say that my predecessor, has done a terrific job with the WordPress design.

My role in this project, was to get the website and infrastructure sustainable for its impending launch. I had nine months to complete the site, in terms of adding hundreds of products (including images, descriptions, weights, engine types, year of manufacture, SKU, shipping, VAT etc.) so that customers could easily find and buy what they’re looking for, using the search bar or filter widgets.

I also had to implement a mobile website, as my predecessor didn’t include one, nor make the website adaptable to an array of devices. I already knew the importance of having a mobile website, as today, the number of mobile users outweigh the number of those who use desktop or laptop computers. If customers are having to pinch and zoom to view content, it’s going to be a very frustrating experience (as I know all too well).

For the mobile site, I adopted the same colour scheme as the desktop site, for a seamless transition between the customer and their devices.

To ensure the safety and protection of customer data and to maintain the integrity and reputation of Evo-Mx, I added SSL encryption. This provides a green padlock and ‘https’ on the address bar, which ensures that all data passed between the web server and browser, remains private and integral.

During my time at Evo-Mx, I have met some very nice people, who have made me feel like part of their team. I would like to thank the Thorntons for their warmth and hospitality. I am very proud to have made their online business, an improved reality.
