posters

While being a student in London College of Communication in University of Arts London I spent one year which reminded me an express course of filling the gaps between BA and MA degrees and consolidating the knowledge gained earlier. The tasks of the first unit are described below.

visual summary posters
All of the posters relate to a narrow topic each. The first group is called 'Visual summary' and the main brief is to make posters that contain only simple geometrical forms. Illustration style and photography were banned, though it was possible to use a variety of technics.

information design poster
The poster depicts the changes of ukrainian children adopted by US citizens. It wasn`t hard to find a data on US websites as they usually update statistics every year. It`s not the same for ukrainian websites. US citizens are first in the list of foreigners who adopt children from all over the world. Ukraine is in the list of the 'top 5 countries for international adoptions'.
The quantity of children adopted each year is closely linked to some of the events happened in the past: world crisis, presidents' elections, Revolution of Dignity. As statistics show some of the events also changed the gender preferences of adopted children.
The last years the overall world level of adoptions decreased. For Ukraine it means the declining of adoptions for almost a half. The age groups show the most preferable age of children that likely be adopted.

letterform live poster
The colours are banned and the only I have is typography. Here I solve the question: 'If I can make a poster without any photography, illustration elements in black and white using typography only'.
